Abstract

Quantitative data obtained in the scramjet experiments are generally limited to wall static pressure distributions. To aid interpretation of the experimental results, a one dimensional analysis code was required. In present paper, a modification on the area of supersonic core flow was introduced based on two scramjet combustor configurations with cavity and strut, respectively. By substituting measured wall static pressure, other important parameters of the flow field in the combustor were obtained. By comparing with the 3-dimensional numerical simulation and experimental exit total pressure profiles, the validation of the modification method and analysis code was testified.
