Abstract

This paper develops a unified framework to solve the scaled consensus, bipartite consensus and scaled bipartite consensus problems for multi-agent systems regardless of them being related to unsigned digraphs or signed digraphs. By linear nonsingular transformations, we turn the convergence analysis of multi-agent systems in the presence of three different control protocols into that under the classical consensus protocol such that necessary and sufficient conditions for the scaled consensus, bipartite consensus and scaled bipartite consensus are obtained, respectively, in a unified manner. Furthermore, we also validate the exponential convergence results.
