Abstract
This letter studies lattice-code based multiple access (LCMA) degraded with imperfect channel state information (CSI). We present the achievable rate of the LCMA scheme under imperfect CSI, and formulate a new LCMA design problem. We then present a two-step approach to solve this problem. Numerical results demonstrate that our optimized LCMA significantly outperforms conventional MMSE and MMSE with successive interference cancellation (MMSE-SIC) at practical levels of channel estimation error by 5 dB when BLER ≤ 10-2 in 8-by-4 MIMO configuration with BPSK and rate 1/2 LDPC code.
