Abstract

The numerical simulations were carried out to investigate interaction between a single stage compressor and pylons. The results show that the pylons cause large disturbance on flow field in compressor, and that the disturbance imposes significant effects on the flow field of rotor, which brings the blades of rotor under large unsteady surface pressure. Flow near the pylon leading edges is drawn out, which almost completely eliminates the influence of pylons on rotor.
