Abstract

In this study an acoustic-solid interaction solver on dynamically deforming mesh is developed based on the high order SD scheme. The Euler/Navier-Stokes equations are solved for acoustic field, and the equations of linear elasticity are solved in solid domain. The governing equations are solved in arbitrary Lagrange-Eulerian formulation. The dynamic deforming mesh is generated each time step by RBF method, and the geometric conservation law is implemented to reduce the error on deformed mesh. The developed solver is validated by the problem of an isentropic vortex propagating in the mean flow. The effect of the deforming mesh on the accuracy of the solver is presented and analyzed. And the accuracy of the solver with or without the GCL is also studied on deforming mesh. Finally the developed SD solver is applied to simulate the acoustic-plate interaction problem. The incoming plane sound waves with different frequencies and amplitudes are considered in the simulation. The transmission of the sound waves through the flexible plate is observed and analyzed.
