Numerical investigation of the pre-compression of leadedge-composited waverider

Abstract

Waverider vehicle is a newly concentrated conception. Here we present a composite waverider design method to improve the pre-compression quality of vehicle forebody. Computation is done and numerical results are compared between the normal waverider and the composite waverider. A new comparing method of flowfield parameters is presented, which concerning probability and statistics. The compared parameters include density flow, pressure, mach number and total pressure. Conclusion is that the pre-compression quality is improved.
