Abstract
This paper presents a theoretical analysis for the various kinds of buckling behaviour of infinitely long laminated cylindrical shallow shells subjected to lateral uniform pressure. The exact solutions of the nonlinear equilibrium equations, in which first-order shear deformation is included, are obtained and the buckling criteria corresponding to different kinds of buckling are constructed taking into account the effects of the transverse shear deformation.
