Nonlinear disturbance observer-based control for a class of nonlinear systems

Abstract

This paper presents a design method of nonlinear disturbance observer based control (NLDOBC) for a class of nonlinear systems with the disturbance modeled by the nonlinear exosystem. First, the virtual disturbance measurement output is defined. Then, a NLDOBC scheme is constructed to estimate and compensate the modeled disturbance. Subsequently, an linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based design method of NLDOBC is developed such that the augmented system is exponentially stable and then the original closed-loop system is exponentially stable in the presence of the modeled disturbance. Finally, some simulation results are given to show its effectiveness of the proposed method.
