Abstract

Based on the Sturm-Liouville equation theory, a new trigonometric series expansion of the Dirac function is suggested for proving the electromagnetic scattering formula of an infinite wedge. And the new expansion is validated to be convergent by comparison with Dirac function. The proving process workload of new series expansion method can be much lessened than employing the traditional one.
