Abstract
A new method as a post-processing step is presented to improve the shape quality of triangular meshes, which has used a topological clean-up procedure and discrete smoothing interpolate (DSI) method together. This method can improve the element angle distribution of mesh. In contrast to similar methods, during quality improvement process this method can keep the final mesh conforming to the constraints which are inputted as planar straight-line graph. Results demonstrate the improvement of conforming triangular mesh quality.
