Abstract

Motivated by CDF Collaboration recent measurements on di-jet invariant mass spectrum, where di-jet is associated with charged leptons (e/μ) and missing energy, we reexamined the previous proposed massive color-octet axial-vectorlike boson Zc. Our simulation showed that the di-jet bump around 120-160GeV can be induced by Zc with effective coupling g Zcqq̄=0.2gs (q represents the quark other than top and gs is the strong coupling constant). Moreover our numerical investigation indicated that the top quark forward-backward asymmetry AFBt can be reproduced without distorting shape of differential cross section dσ/dMtt̄, provided that the Zc and top quark coupling is appropriately chosen (gZctt̄ 4.5gZ cqq̄). Our results also showed that the theoretical AFBt as functions of Δy and Mtt̄ can be consistent with data within 1σ and 1.8σ, respectively.
