Abstract

High spin states of odd-odd nucleus 158Tm have been studied by using 144Nd(19F, 5n) reaction at beam energies of 108 and 112 MeV. Two new bands are identified. And their possible configurations and spin/parity assignments are discussed. Furthermore, experimental B(M1)/B(E2) values are obtained for the πh11/2⊗vi13/2 band and compared with calculations based on geometric model.
