Abstract
Considering the needs of the transmission distance, resistance to high electro-magnetic interference and bus bandwidth to the field bus in the industrial control domain, a IEEE1394b-PCI fiber interface card with the fault diagnostic function is developed. The optical bus system is established based on the fiber interface card. From the video transmission diagram of the optical bus and the experiment data analysis, it can be concluded that the fiber interface card can meet the needs of practical applications. Meanwhile, the optical bus system can realize fault location and can be easy to maintenance.
