Abstract

This paper presents a high distinction Terahertz virus sensor based on Nano gap metamaterials which consist of split ring resonance and cross structure. The metamaterials will be asymmetric when the gap direction rotate, which will lead to Fano resonance. And nano gap will design count to virus size is in nanometers scope. These nano metamaterials have been numerically calculated with and without analyte. The frequency shift can reach as bigger as 0.3 THz, and one of the structure has two feature frequency peak, one frequency is 0.256 THz another one is 0.3 THz. The simulation results have been compared with existing sensor, the results show that our sensor performance better.
