Abstract

Split-ring resonators (SRRs) are introduced to the design of multilayer filter. Considering the magnetic resonance of SRR, careful examination of SRR orientations to the external stimulation is presented through full wave analysis. With the skew-symmetric feed scheme, the compact multilayer filters have two transmission zeros. Compared with the conventional microstrip filter, the proposed filter acquires significant size reduction and improved selectivity.
