Abstract

The process of carrier-based aircraft catapult launch is complex. Currently the full simulation model considering the motion of ocean, carrier, aircraft and atmosphere, and their interactions, has still not been reported. The multibody dynamic simulation models of catapult launch were built based on tensor, with regarding carrier, aircraft and landing gears as multi bodies that have their own masses. The coupling relationship within these multi bodies were illustrated by projecting the tensor equations to specific frames. With considering the influences of carrier motion, induced winds and so forth, the simulation results of a carrier-based aircraft catapult launch were given, and the special dynamical characteristics were described.
