Multi-rate energy meter for automatic reading meter system and relay routing algorithm

Abstract

A design scheme of multi-rate energy meter based on the broadband carrier of power lines and its automatic relay routing algorithm are proposed. With ATmega128 as its core, the modularized design is adopted for its hardware circuits, including voltage and current sampling module, electric power measurement module, data storage module, RS-485 communication module, power line carrier module, LCD module, real-time clock module, power loss control module, power module and so on. The modularized design is also adopted in its software system. According to the characteristics of low voltage power line, the automatic relay routing algorithm with relay constraints is employed in user data receiving. The operating practice indicates its good performance.
