Abstract

In order to solve the lack of coordination and low efficiency of public transit, three kinds of public transit modes are selected to establish a multi-mode public transit network. With the application of dimension reduction algorithm and branch boundary method, Scheduling result evaluation and WEBGIS are applied. This study focused on the bus scheduling based on demand configuration and developed a set of complete scheduling models to realize the efficient cooperative organization of passenger flow and vehicles. Results showed that during peak hour operation, the total operating vehicles were reduced by 16.85%, while the average waiting time of passengers was reduced by 18.95%. During the flat-peak operation, the total operating vehicles were reduced by 36.4%, while the average waiting time of passengers was reduced by 25.23%. Results indicated the simulations were completed, which verify the social and economic benefits of the system.
