N2 - Chinese traditional timber structure construction techniques, which center on the mortise and tenon structure, represent one of the national intangible cultural heritages (ICH) of China. For a long time, researchers have been dedicated to using digital technology to protect and pass on mortise and tenon culture, but issues related to the lack of embodied perception and innovative presentation have always been present. In this paper, we introduce a virtual reality (VR) interaction system called "Mortise and Tenon Pavilion,"an experience based on the spatial interaction of ICH mortise and tenon structures. Drawing on the structural characteristics of mortise and tenon, we designed the scenes from the perspective of spatial displacement, exploring VR display methods for structural craft-based ICH through volume displacement, scale equalization displacement, and environmental vision displacement.
