Abstract

The Institute of Physical and Chemical Research(RIKEN), 2-1 Hirosawa, Wako, Saitama 351-01, Japan The longitudinal momentum distribution of 7Be from the breakup reaction of 8B on a 12C target is calculated within the Glauber model. If we take into account the core absorption effect, then both the interaction cross section and narrow momentum distribution are explained consistently.
