Abstract

The Institute of Physical and Chemical Research(RIKEN), 2-1 Hirosawa, Wako, Saitama 351-01, Japan The longitudinal momentum distribution of ⁷Be from the breakup reaction of ⁸B on a ¹²C target is calculated within the Glauber model. If we take into account the core absorption effect, then both the interaction cross section and narrow momentum distribution are explained consistently.
