Abstract

The two-neutron removal cross section ( [Formula presented]) and the longitudinal momentum distribution of [Formula presented] fragments from the breakup of [Formula presented] on [Formula presented] were measured at [Formula presented]. The distribution in the projectile rest frame is characterized by a FWHM of [Formula presented] for [Formula presented]. The [Formula presented] is found to be [Formula presented]. A Glauber–type analysis of the data provides clear evidence of a two-neutron halo structure in [Formula presented].
