Modulus prediction for 2D PWF composites

Abstract

This paper seeks to develop the analytical method for predicting the compression modulus of 2D plain weave fabric (PWF) composites based on a micro-mechanical curved beam model depicted with sinusoidal shape functions. The modulus calculations are obtained and compared with the experiments, demonstrating that predictions correlate well with the experimental results.
