Abstract
Stop-and-go vehicle cruise following simulation system hybrid model was built on theoretical analysis combined with test data. Then, a vehicular distance controller was designed according to the merits of sliding mode and fuzzy control. Combined with the simulation model in above, simulation was carried out under two kinds of situation of still and movement of the lead car. The simulation results show that the system simulation model and controller can truly reflect practical stop-and-go vehicle cruise following condition and can be used to study stop-and-go vehicle cruise following condition.
