Abstract
The concrete dam construction is considered system engineering which is affected by many uncertain factors, how to achieve intelligent simulation system is a critical factor affecting the construction progress of concrete dam and an important approach to save resource and reduce construction cost. The paper analyses the structure of concrete dam construction information system (CDCIS) which mainly consists of the block inference engine and visual simulation engine, and presents the optimal mathematic model of concrete dam construction, and discusses the operation mechanism of simulation model. The system is applied to a Chinese national key project that is XiangJia Dam hydropower project. The application demonstrates that the systematic design method is effective and feasible, and can be applied to various types of Chinese concrete dam.
