Abstract

The techniques of model base management system were investigated. An improved object-oriented model representation is proposed using the combination of model dictionary and model structure. Model dictionary is used to store the model description information and model data abstract, while model structure encapsulates every parameter and operations of simulation models and descriptions of interface information. A 3-tiered architecture for model base based on CORBA is discussed in collaborative simulation. Model management techniques such as model version management, configuration, and manipulation are studied and realized. An application example in vehicle attitude control is provided. The results show that the methods in the paper are feasible and effective.
