Model and theory for fuzzy-based performance-reliability

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The current reliability methodology considers the uncertainty in failure-process of product, in which the analysis is concerned more than failure-time analysis. In mis situation, we propose the technique of integrating design for performance-reliability (P&R), which is an effective method for reliability design and analysis of product or system. Since die traditional reliability analysis based on probability theory has been widely used in practical life, it suffers difficulties in system reliability with limited or insufficient statistical data. This paper will give some reliability analysis to fuzzy-based integrating design for performance-reliability, which is based on credibility measure and fuzzy theory. Following the introduction to the concept and meaning of performance-reliability, the fuzzy-based model is proposed. Due to the complexity of the fuzzy model, the algorithm based on fuzzy simulation is designed. Finally, through a case study of a missile's weapon system, the theory and algorithm of the fuzzy-based performance-reliability are illustrated.
