Abstract
A mixed Jameson/total-variation diminishing scheme applied to simulating rotor airfoil flowfield was presented. The scheme is used to solve the Euler equations for the simulation of the flowfield around a rotor airfoil. Considering the Euler equations' deficiency in reflecting viscous effects, Jameson's scheme was applied to solve the Navier-Stokes equations. Results of the calculation and experimental data were found in good agreement for Caradonna and Tung's rotor blades.
