N2 - Chaotic Colpitts oscillating circuit has a broader spectrum characteristic than other chaotic circuits and the complicated bifurcation exhibits rich nonlinear dynamical behaviours. By introducing the normalized state equation, the parameters estimation equation is derived. According to the design requirements of the frequency, the parameter expressions of the main circuit elements are worked out. The simulation results show that the amplitude spectrum of chaotic signal agrees well with the expected frequency distribution; the Colpitts circuit is an excellent tool to generate chaotic signals of high frequency for the broadband communication system.
