Abstract

This paper analysis the methodology of flight clearance and presents an example to verify the correctness and feasibility of the methods used in flight clearance process. The main goal of flight clearance is to try structured singular value (μ) analysis on the flight control system when some parameters in the system vary in a certain range. As μ- analysis can only be done on a linear fractional transformation (LFT) model, the first step of flight clearance is to generate the LFT model of the flight control system. An X-Fighter is chosen to realize the methods proposed in this paper. Simulation results demonstrate that X-Fighter passes the flight clearance. It not only proves the robustness of the control law but also confirms the correctness and feasibility of the methods used in the flight control process.
