Abstract
A general analytic method to compute the number of metastable configurations as a function of the energy for a system of interacting Ising spins on the Bethe lattice was presented. It was found that the approach was based on cavity method. It was applied to the binary and Gaussian spin glasses. An illustration on the replica symmetry breaking was also presented.
