Abstract

Based on the analysis of statistic characteristic of the instantaneous frequency sequence, a new type of robust signal detector was put forward, named Mean-Square-Error-of-Instantaneous-Frequency Detector (MSEIFD for short). The binary hypothesis testing mode of MSEIFD was indicated, and the property was analyzed by simulation and compared with that of matched filter (MF) in the same condition. The simulation result shows that MSEIFD can detect signal with many modulation forms effectively, is insensitive to Doppler shift and is also robust for the cross-interference from the same channel or the nearby channel.
