abstract = "Safety is the basic condition that civil aircraft needs to guarantee. Safety analysis is one of the key processes in the aircraft design phase. Functional hazard assessment is the first step required for safety analysis. Its integrity affects the entire safety assessment process, and even it is the basic outline document for the entire aircraft design. The aircraft brake system is one of the key systems to ensure the aircraft deceleration on the ground, especially at low speeds is the only system that decelerates the aircraft. In the safety analysis, the aircraft brake system is the key to whether the aircraft can land safely. This paper proposes a model based system engineering (MBSE)-based functional hazard assessment construction process for aircraft brake systems. It provides guidance for the aircraft to further carry out the overall design of the aircraft from a system perspective, and effectively improves the efficiency of aircraft safety analysis.",
