Abstract

This paper discloses a method to suppress ambient noise in electromagnetic interference measurement in the location where equipment under test (EUT) is using. The measurements are carried out in frequency-domain for a period at max hold mode to avoiding ambient noise instability. Processing software consisted of adaptive digital filter and signal extraction is designed with Matlab. Measurements of an antenna and signal generator carried out in a noisy environment are compared with measurements of the same EUT carried out in anechoic chamber to demonstrate that ambient noise cancellation for a frequency range from 850MHz to 950MHz is successful.
