Abstract

A planar distributed electron optics system with narrow three-beam separation is studied under unform magnetic focusing system for W-band fundamental-mode staggered double vane TWT. In this paper, the axial relative initial position of the three-beam gun is to study to find the influence of the axial position of electron gun on the stability of the whole system. It is found that there is a good matching position between the electron gun and focusing structure. The simulation results indicate that the transmission rate of three-beam array can reach 100% with the transmission distance 70 mm under the focusing system. The three-beam array could transmit stable with the maximum ripple of 25% under the focusing system.
