Abstract
Low-temperature fabrication of highly crystalline SnO2 nanorods was investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) results showed that the as-prepared SnO2 nanorods were of a crystalline rutile structure. It was found that the reverse micelles benefited the growth of small-sized nanorods by elevating local monomer concentration and lowering the solubility of SnO2 crystals.
