LMI-Based Vibration Control Design for Euler–Bernoulli Beam with Uncertain Parameters and Distributed Disturbance

Abstract

Boundary and distributed control laws are designed for the Euler-Bernoulli beam. The control gains are expressed in the form of LMIs, which can be directly obtained using MATLAB. To deal with external unknown distributed disturbances, an observer is designed. Under the designed control and observer, the exponential stability of the disturbed Euler-Bernoulli beam with uncertain parameters is guaranteed.
