Abstract

To address the issue of censored life data for aviation airborne products, this study employs statistical methods from survival analysis theory to construct a likelihood function that accommodates both end-of-life and censored data. Subsequently, the maximum likelihood estimation and Trust-Region algorithm are applied to solve this function, resulting in parameter estimates based on the Weibull distribution. Then, an analysis of life test data from a specific mechanical gyroscope is conducted, revealing that the proposed method for lifetime evaluation aligns closely with actual conditions, demonstrating high accuracy and practicality. This approach provides a basis for establishing first overhaul intervals and lifetime indices.
