Abstract
Three viscoplastic constitutive models were developed for top coats and substrate. Some important material properties were tested and evaluated under high temperature, and thermal fatigue experiments for atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) and electron beam physical vapor deposition (EB-PVD) were designed and carried out. A fatigue life model was set up and the lifetime of a vane with thermal barrier coating (TBC) was predicted.
