Abstract

Environmental factors play a crucial role in the reliability and performance of structures and systems. This study evaluates the influence of environmental factors such as oxygen content, pH, and salt concentration on corrosion, which affect the reliability of grounding systems. Based on this, we propose and validate a novel corrosion model and correlate it with the life characteristics of grounding systems. Sensitivity analysis and confidence interval estimation were employed for the evaluation of the model. The results provide insights into the grounding system's reliability, which is essential for safe and effective system operation.
