Lean weight about dynamic weighing of loaders

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Based on an existent weighing kinetics model of wheel loaders, how to dynamically compensate the lean weight in theory is focused on. Firstly, the calculating method of the lean weight is shown when the bucket in the static and level state. Secondly, after the dynamic analysis of moment balance, the function among the compensation value of the lean weight, the bucket piston's elongation and the bucket gradient angle is given. That is, the method of dynamic compensation for the lean weight in any state is obtained. In the end, using dynamic weighing system of loaders designed by ourselves, large number of tests were done in the cruel local site to compare the measure results of no lean weight, with lean weight but not to compensate, and to compensate dynamically. The test results indicate that the same measure precision as the ideal instance, i.e. dynamic weighing when there is no lean weight, can be got. And a measure error within 1% can be obtained, which indicates that the analyzed theory is correct.
