Abstract

Large-eddy simulation was employed to simulate the full-developed turbulence in channel which Reynolds number was 13000. In order to compare the effects of grid number and sub-grid model on the simulated results, three different grid numbers and two sub-grid models were used in the simulation. The results show that the statistical parameters such as velocity and RMS of velocity can be simulated accurately by Large-eddy simulation. On the basis of this, this paper studied the small-scale coherent structures near the wall.
