Abstract

The optical limiting effect of solubilized carbon nanotubes on 1064 and 532 nm laser is studied in experiment. The experiments are carried out with samples of different thickness and concentration, and the optical limiting experiments are also carried out with pure solvent (chloroform) in order to confirm that the optical limiting effect is due to carbon nanotubes. The results showed that the solubilized carbon nanotubes have good optical limiting characters to both 1064 and 532 nm laser.
