Abstract

Considering three-dimensional relative motions of contact interface, nonlinear responses of an engine fan blade with shrouds are investigated. If needs to carry out transforming calculation between frequency domain and time domain. The nonlinear friction forces are calculated by tracing the trajectory of the contact point. Based on the response features of the first bending mode of a blade the stiffness of the contact interface is estimated. Then the response features of the higher order mode of the blade are analyzed, its fault causes due to fatigue fracture are discussed and two approaches to get rid of the faults are proposed.
