Abstract

An interior penalty discontinuous Galerkin time-domain (DGTD) method is proposed in this paper to simulate electromagnetic waves in magnetized plasma. The anisotropic and dispersive properties of magnetized plasma are expressed by the current density equation. The fourth-order explicit Runge-Kutta strategy is employed for time integration. The accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method are demonstrated by analyzing the RCS of a magnetized plasma-coated PEC sphere.
