Abstract

Based on the research of wavelet transform and SPIHT (Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees algorithm, wavelet image compression technology is introduced to compress interferogram. In addition, in the wavelet decomposition coefficient matrix, high-frequency image data are close to zero, the information is mainly manifested in the part of the low-frequency image, and the mainly information storage is close to zero optical path difference in the interferogram. A row of interferogram data is disconnected and the data are stored with Z-storage array to the matrix form, which is compressed with wavelet algorithm. The research results show that the improvement can raise compression performance.
