Abstract
In this paper, the features of urban arterial transit route and its surrounding land use in the transit-oriented development (TOD) mode are analyzed, and a model describing the interactive relationship between the route and the land use is established based on nonlinear differential equations. Then, the dynamic evolvement and trend of the urban arterial transit route and the land use are analyzed. Moreover, by taking into consideration the coordinated development of the urban arterial transit route and its surrounding land use in the TOD mode, the proposed interactive relationship model is modified, and the stability and conditions for the equilibrium state are discussed based on the differential equation stability theory. Finally, a simulation is carried out with Simulink to verify the interactive relationship. The results show that the established model well describes the interactive relationship and dynamic evolvement between the urban arterial transit route and the land use in the TOD mode.
