Integrated platform of products collaborative design for assembly under distributed environment

Abstract

In order to improve the quality of design for assembly in distributed areas, an approach of collaborative design for assembly under distributed environment was proposed. Products assemble design was analyzed from three aspects: parts design, pre-assembly of products structure and pre-assembly of products process. An integrated platform oriented to assembly in networked design was implemented and the function modules of the platform were discussed in detail. A turbine-dilating machine was used to explain the collaborative design process of the assembly among distributed designers by making use of the proposed platform.
