Integrated design of the electric test system for aircraft brake controller

Abstract

The aircraft anti-skid braking control system is one of the most important airborne equipment of the aircraft. In order to ensure the safety of the aircraft take off and landing, it's urgent to design a brake test system to improve the speed and automation of the brake controller working state detection, the maintenance and fault detection capability of the brake system. In this paper, a portable integrated test system based on PXI bus architecture is designed to test the performance of the brake controller with a fast and stable manner, which considering the multi-signal and non-centralized conditions in the ground experiment of the aircraft brake system. Based on TCP/IP protocol, the test system uses the host LabWindows CVI to connect the slave LabVIEW RT as the system architecture. In order to connect braking controller and PXI controller directly, an original form of signal isolation conditioning integrated chassis has been designed with the double-sided docking method of the mainboard and subboards. At the same time, it can ensure a complete signal isolation between aircraft equipment & brake controller and test equipment. Hence, the reliability and security of the test can be improved significantly. The integrated electrical structure of the test system designed in this paper can meet the requirements of convenient and rapid test, improve the degree of automation of the aircraft brake controller detection, and ensure the reliability of the brake controller through scientific test.
