Abstract

To study the optical properties of vacuum plume, MLG wave model is used to calculate the spectral transmittance of the plume based on vacuum rocket engine plume' s distribution of temperature and pressure and gas composition. Combined with the discrete transfer method (DTM), the total radiation intensity of the node to reach the surface of flame is calculated. Rayleigh scattering model is used to get the scattering of sunlight by the plume. For the results, a visual rendering method of particle system based on OpenGL shading Language to rendering rocket plume has been proposed. The result and simulation scenario is regarded as reference for detection and tracking defense.
