Abstract

The paper propose a framework to understand how different control strategies influence on the power split and the power load on the motor/generator (M/G) unit. First the configuration of the single-shaft parallel hybrid electric powertrain model is described. Then two rule-based strategies including baseline control strategy and Honda Insight control strategy and one global optimization control strategy were analyzed and discussed. The influence of the three control strategies to the load power of the M/G unit used on parallel hybrid powertrain was studied. At last, the regulations of the output power distributing in the M/G unit which can offer fundamental theory for the compiling of the dynamic reliability test cycle of the M/G unit was observed.
